Save a document in Microsoft Word in Windows :
- Click on the File menu in the top left corner of the screen.
- Select Save or Save As.
- If you are saving for the first time, choose a location to save your document.
- Enter a name for your document in the File name field.
- Choose the file type, such as .docx or .pdf.
- Click on the Save button.
To save a document in Microsoft Word on Windows using shortcut keys
- Press the Ctrl key and the letter "S" at the same time.
- Alternatively, you can press the F12 key to open the "Save As" dialog box and save the document with a new name or in a different location.
Save a document in Microsoft Word in Mac
- Click on the File menu in the top left corner of the screen.
- Select Save or Save As.
- If you are saving for the first time, choose a location to save your document.
- Enter a name for your document in the Save As field.

To save a document in Microsoft Word on Mac using shortcut keys:
- Press the Command key and the letter "S" at the same time.
- Alternatively, you can press the Shift + Command + S keys to open the "Save As" dialog box and save the document with a new name or in a different location.
