To open Microsoft Word in a PC:


  1. Click on the "Start" menu on your desktop.
  2. Select "Microsoft Office" or "All Programs" and then click on "Microsoft Word."
  3. Alternatively, you can search for "Microsoft Word" in the search bar and click on the application.

To open Microsoft Word on a Mac:

  1. Click on the "Finder" icon in the dock.
  2. Select "Applications" from the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Scroll down and click on "Microsoft Word" or search for "Microsoft Word" in the search bar and click on the application.


To open Microsoft Word, follow these steps: 
  1.  Click on the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your desktop. 
  2. Type "Microsoft Word" in the search bar, which is located in the "Search Windows" box. 
  3. Click on the Microsoft Word icon that appears in the search results.

Second Method

 Alternatively, you can also click on the Microsoft Office folder and then click on the Microsoft Word icon. Microsoft Word should now open. Alternatively, if you have pinned Microsoft Word to your taskbar, you can simply click on the Word icon in the taskbar to open the program. 

 If you don't have Microsoft Word installed on your computer, you will need to purchase a license or subscribe to Microsoft 365 to access it.

 

Different shortcut keys you can use to open Microsoft Word

There are a few different shortcut keys you can use to open Microsoft Word:


1. Windows Key + R: 

This will open the Run dialog box. Type "winword" into the box and press Enter.






2. Windows Key + S: 

  1. Firstly Press Window key
  2. Press "S" .

This will open the Search box. Type "Word" into the box and select Microsoft Word from the list of results.






Windows Key + E:

 This will open File Explorer. Navigate to the location where Word is installed (usually in the "Microsoft Office" folder) and double-click on "winword.exe" to open Word.





Pin Word to the taskbar:

 If you frequently use Word, you can pin it to the taskbar so that it's always easily accessible. To do this, open Word and right-click on its icon in the taskbar. Select "Pin to taskbar" from the menu. From now on, you can open Word by clicking on its icon in the taskbar.


+ Alt + W:

This is a shortcut key specific to Microsoft Word. Pressing these keys together will open Word.
